DG Murray This project involves the development of ten theme bags for use by Home and Family Based ECD Practitioners. Each bag bag includes creative, numeracy and literacy activities as well as instructions for the practitioner and 'stay at home' worksheets which can be left at the home so that learning continues after the practioner has gone. Fanang Diatla In 2012, LETCEE has begun working with Fanang Diatla in Mathabatha in Limpopo Province. LETCEE has been asked to establish a toy library using toy bags and to train a toy librarian. Department of Social Development The partnership with the Department of Social Development is two fold. Firstly, LETCEE is training fourteen practitioners at NQF Level 4 from ten creches (all of which LETCEE has worked with in the past) in the Pietermaritzberg area. Secondly, LETCEE will be piloting a project in Ngome just outside Greytown where they will be training ten Home and Family Based ECD Practitioners and providing each of them with a basic toy bag to use in their work with children.
